- Judy was SMHA’s Rural Recovery Response (RRR) coordinator and organized many volunteers to recover over 1,000 homes, businesses and churches during the devastating hurricanes after several of the major hurricanes, both in the local Acadiana area and the devastated communities after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
- Judy is the past head of SMHA’s Directorate for Family and Community Development, former President of Rebuild Iberia, former board member of Episcopal Solomon House Outreach, former president of Louisiana Partners of the Americas and past board member of Louisiana Microenterprise Development.
- She also served as the director of the New Environmental Processes Research Team at the Rodale Research Center and as Executive Director of Programs Retraining Individuals through Mentoring and Education.
