Ashley has just completed her PhD in justice history at LSU. Ashley served on SMHA’s Board of Directors and is Executive Director of The Whitney Institute and Whitney Plantation Museum. She has served as Director of Museum Operations for Whitney and Assistant Director of the Denver Regional Museums. She has a Master of Arts in Museum Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in History/Political Science. She has served on the Program Committee of the American Association for State and Local History and the 2019 Annual Meeting Host Committee of the American Alliance of Museums.
